In 2001, Jayson R. Horner was a co-founder of CanDeal and has been the President and CEO since inception. Mr. Horner has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has worked in the institutional fixed income business for Merrill Lynch Canada, Richardson Greenshields and TD Securities.
Tristan Michela has been an Executive Vice President at CanDeal since 2008, and is responsible for managing our client sales and contributing to the overall growth strategy. Mr. Michela has been actively involved in the fixed income marketplace since 1996 and as such his experience provides valuable insights into current industry challenges and trends. Before joining CanDeal, Mr. Michela managed RBC Capital Markets’ fixed income e-strategy. Mr. Michela has a diverse global perspective and understanding of electronic trading and the inherent benefits and opportunities it provides participants.
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer
Aubrey Baillie is CanDeal’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for overseeing all financial activities and managing key strategic relationships with dealers, regulators and vendors. Mr. Baillie joined CanDeal in 2001 was integral to the creation and development of CanDeal into the Canadian market. A proven leader, Mr. Baillie is familiar with CanDeal’s corporate structure and strategic intent, making him a key player in the development and growth of our business. Mr. Baillie holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, a MBA from the Rotman School of Business and a Chartered Accountant designation.
Managing Director Market Operations & Client Services
Shirley Gallant is a Managing Director at CanDeal and oversees the client service and market operations group. Ms. Gallant joined CanDeal in May 2004, and has had an extensive career in the Canadian institutional fixed income industry. Prior to joining CanDeal, she was a Director at Scotia Capital in their fixed income group and also worked for Merrill Lynch both in Toronto and Vancouver in institutional fixed income sales. Additionally, she has spent time working on the buy-side of Capital Markets.
Joe D’Alessandro is Chief Technology Officer at CanDeal, a position he has held since our inception in 2001. Mr. D’Alessandro has played a vital role in overseeing the development of CanDeal’s trading application and market data services. In 2005, Mr. D’Alessandro was part of the management team that helped ink CanDeal’s strategic relationship with Tradeweb. Previously, Mr. D’Alessandro was VP Corporate Development/Technology at Brokercom, where he helped develop, deliver and support collaboration software.
